Background
Project Background: Located in Yiling District, Yichang, Hubei Province, this project is a high-end residential community with a total construction area exceeding 500,000㎡, comprising 32 high-rise and mid-rise residential buildings featuring a rock wool insulation system. The region has a subtropical monsoon climate with hot, rainy summers and cold, humid winters, with an annual temperature difference of over 25℃ and humidity above 80% during the plum rain season, posing strict requirements for the adhesion, weather resistance and crack resistance of exterior coatings.
Solution
Technical Solution: Natural stone texture paint was selected as the main coating layer, paired with an alkali-resistant sealing primer and topcoat varnish to form a composite protection system. The alkali-resistant sealing primer blocks the penetration of alkaline substances from the wall, ensuring adhesion ≥ grade 1; the natural stone texture paint is formulated with special quartz sand and acrylic emulsion, offering a artificial aging resistance duration of no less than 2000 hours and scrub resistance ≥ 2000 times, with a film thickness controlled within 2.5-3mm; the topcoat varnish features excellent waterproof performance, meeting the Class I requirement of GB/T 23445-2009 standard.
Result
Construction Process: Before construction, the substrate must be sanded and dusted to ensure the flatness deviation ≤ 3mm; the construction environment requires relative humidity below 85% and temperature between 5-35℃. Apply 2 coats of alkali-resistant sealing primer with a 2-hour interval, then spray 3 coats of natural stone texture paint with a 4-hour interval after full drying, and finally apply 1 coat of topcoat varnish, with the overall film thickness not less than 3.5mm.
Background
Project Results: Third-party testing confirmed that the exterior coating of the project achieved grade 1 adhesion, artificial aging resistance duration over 2200 hours, scrub resistance exceeding 2500 times, and met the Class I waterproof standard.
