At a villa project in Hangzhou last month, a contractor skipped cleaning the old paint layer, leading to spots on the wall after the client moved in two months later; the rework cost nearly 10,000 yuan. Such mistakes must be avoided.</p><h2>Texture creation and drying control determine the final texture</h2><p>The most distinctive feature of art paint is its unique texture. JIASHILI’s instructions specify different spatula models and techniques for different textures. For cloud-like patterns, use a toothed spatula and push at a 45-degree angle with even pressure, pausing for 2 seconds between strokes to get natural, soft lines. For stronger textured effects, use a flat spatula to press repeatedly, with a consumption of 300-350 grams per square meter.</p><p>The ideal temperature for application is 20-25°C, with relative humidity below 70%; otherwise, the art water-based paint dries too slowly and leaves sagging marks. At an apartment project in Chengdu, a contractor ignored humidity control, resulting in obvious sagging on the wall; repair took three days, delaying the schedule and increasing costs.
