Acrysol™ ASE‑60 Thickener

Acrysol™ ASE‑60 is a classic anionic alkali-swellable thickener designed for interior and exterior latex paints, high-PVC primers, textured/stucco coatings, and external insulation systems. It markedly increases low-shear viscosity to form a stable gel structure, effectively preventing sagging, pigment settling, and roller splattering. Thanks to its excellent pseudoplasticity, viscosity drops rapidly during application to ensure smooth film formation, while quickly recovering its viscosity upon standing. It exhibits outstanding resistance to enzymatic and microbial degradation, guaranteeing long-term viscosity stability. The recommended dosage ranges from 0.2% to 1.2%, and the system pH must be ≥8.0 to activate its thickening performance optimally (ideal pH range: 8.5–9.5).
