01Overview

Vesmody® U902 Rheology Modifier

Vesmody® U902 Rheology Modifier is a high-thixotropic polyurethane-based product designed for a wide range of applications including architectural latex paints, textured coatings, and water-based industrial paints, with particular suitability for semi-gloss and high-gloss formulations. It exhibits outstanding pseudoplasticity and rapid thixotropic recovery, along with high low-shear yield stress to effectively prevent sagging in thick coatings and pigment/filler settling, while causing minimal impact on paint water resistance and gloss. Operating within a pH range of 6-10, the recommended dosage is 0.2%-1.2%. It should be added at a low speed during the later stage of paint formulation after grinding, emulsions and other additives are incorporated, and must be pre-diluted at a ratio of 1:1~1:4 with water prior to use.
