01Overview

Hydroxyethyl Cellulose 250HHBR

Hydroxyethyl Cellulose 250HHBR is a non-ionic enzyme-resistant cellulose ether rheology modifier with a standard viscosity of 100,000 cP. It delivers excellent low-shear thickening, anti-sagging, suspension and anti-settling properties, as well as superior water retention, effectively minimizing application brush marks and coating cracks while ensuring uniform color development. Its salt resistance outperforms that of ordinary carboxymethyl cellulose, and it has a wide pH adaptability range. It is suitable for interior and exterior latex paints, textured paints, and multicolor base coats, and is often used in combination with polyurethane HEUR thickeners to optimize the rheological performance of coating systems. The recommended dosage is 0.1%–0.7% of the total paint mass; it should be dissolved via low-speed stirring in the aqueous phase before adding pigments and fillers.
