Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose(K‑100M)
Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (K-100M) is a non-ionic high-viscosity cellulose ether featuring strong thickening under low shear, anti-sagging properties, excellent water retention and suspension capabilities. It significantly improves thick-film application performance and reduces the risk of coating cracking and powdering. With a wide pH adaptability range and better salt resistance than CMC, it is recommended for use in putties, textured stone coatings, and fireproof thick coatings. It works optimally when combined with HEUR polyurethane thickeners. The standard dosage is 0.15%–0.6% of the total coating mass; proper feeding according to specified procedures is required to ensure stable performance.
