PVA‑2488P / PVOH‑2488P
PVA-2488P is a partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol with a degree of polymerization of 2400 and 88% hydrolysis degree. It functions as a film-forming aid and protective colloid, markedly enhancing coating adhesion and sanding performance. The recommended dosage is 0.2%-1.0% for latex paints and 1%-3% for interior wall putties; it is not suitable for exterior wall applications. Always prepare a stock solution with hot water before use—never add the powder directly. Due to its poor water resistance, this product is only appropriate for low-end interior wall products and must not be used in exterior coatings or high-water-resistant formulations; contact with borax should also be avoided.
