01Overview

HEC‑35000 Powder(Hydroxyethyl Cellulose)

HEC-35000 is a non-ionic thickening and water-retaining agent specifically formulated for liquid water-based coatings. It is suitable for interior and exterior latex paints, water-based industrial coatings, water-based color pastes, and fireproof coatings, with a recommended dosage of 0.2%-0.45%. It effectively increases medium to low shear viscosity, enhances anti-sagging and thick-film application performance, and provides excellent water retention to extend working time. Additionally, it stabilizes pigment and filler suspension and remains stable across a pH range of 2-12. For optimal performance, pre-treat the product by wetting it with ethylene glycol or propylene glycol, or prepare a 2% pre-dissolved stock solution, and add it during the later stage of paint mixing—avoid adding it during high-temperature grinding to prevent clumping.
