Precipitated Barium Sulphate (Blanc Fixe)

High-gloss Barium Sulfate 1250 mesh is a functional filler designed for premium coatings. It features regular particle morphology without sharp edges, delivering significantly better film gloss and distinctness than natural barite barium sulfate. With low oil absorption and high fillability, it effectively reduces formulation costs. Boasting a refractive index of 1.63–1.65 and strong dry hiding power, it works synergistically with titanium dioxide to enhance film fullness and white stability. This product exhibits excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, weathering, and salt spray, making it suitable for all types of high-end coatings. Typical addition levels are 1%–3% for interior architectural latex paints, 2%–5% for premium exterior and high-gloss paints, and 5%–12% for industrial anti-corrosion paints.
