Pentaerythritol、2,2‑Bis(hydroxymethyl)propane‑1,3‑diol

Pentaerythritol is a tetrafunctional polyol raw material that must not be directly added to ordinary latex paints. Firstly, it serves as a core monomer for synthesizing alkyd and polyester resins, significantly enhancing film hardness, gloss, and weather resistance. Secondly, it acts as a key carbon source in intumescent fire-retardant coatings; when compounded with ammonium polyphosphate and melamine, it forms a dense insulating char layer for outstanding fire-retardant performance. The recommended addition level in fire-retardant coatings is 15%-25%. During production, strict dust control and impurity management are required to ensure the integrity of the ternary compounding system.
